Overview

The Bantam e-STATION 902 is a microprecessor controlled high-performance and rapid charger/discharger for NiCd/NiMH, Lilo/LiPo/LiFe and Pb batteries. The 902 employs a circuit that has a maximum power output of 200W and as a result it can charge or discharge up to 12 Series LiPo batteries with a maximum current of 9.9A. Furthermore the unit has been optimised for maximum efficiency in the cooling systems to control such a high power without any problems with the circuit or operating programs. Also, when charging or discharging the 902 has an 'AUTO' function that sets the feeding current or the cell count automatically. When used with LiPo batteries it also prevents overcharging which could otherwise lead to explosion. A second output on the device can also charge NiCd or NiMH batteries up to 6 cells simultaneously with output 1. The device employs maximum safety with Delta-Peak sensitivity (automatic charge termination programs), Capacity Limits, Temperature Limits, Processing Time Limits, Input Power Monitors and an automatic Cooling Fan. For the technical expert, the 902 also offers PC based software which can analyse the characteristics of the battery using a USB port. The software shows voltage, current, capacity and temperature graphs.
