It comes fully assembled, no assembly or glue required. It features 4-channel proportional control and a brushless motor for incredible power and maneuverability. This plane is ready for FPV (First Person View) flight, simply install the optional camera/video transmitter module (SPMVA2500, sold separately). It features Horizon Hobby's SAFE Plus technology, which gives you the self-stabilization and GPS guidance used with the best drones on the market. SAFE Plus technology will allow you to land your model automatically, prevent your plane from straying too far, and even allow you to take a virtual "pause" during flight by flying in a circular and autonomous manner. • AutoLand – When enabled, AutoLand allows your Champ S+ to begin an approach to land automatically near its takeoff point. If conditions are challenging, you can help steer your aircraft and let the system complete the landing for you.
• Defined Area Flyover – With a simple push of a button, the Champ S+ will automatically fly to a point near its takeoff point in a circular pattern at an altitude of approximately 20m. Once the command is canceled, you regain control of the aircraft and can continue flying.
• Virtual Fence – It’s easy to let your plane get too far away. But with Virtual Fence, you don’t have to worry. This feature creates a virtual boundary around your flight. When the Champ S+ reaches the edge of the fence, it automatically deviates to stay within that boundary and moves its wings to let you know you’re back in control.
• Panic Mode – If you lose control of the Champ S+, simply switch to Beginner Mode and release the sticks. SAFE Plus technology will bring your aircraft back to a level position.
• AS3X - Works automatically to stabilize the Champ S+ with a 3-axis gyro system to combat the effects of turbulence in windy conditions.
