This is a stepdown switching regulator with a high efficiency (up to 90%) and little loss (heat).lt;/pgt; lt;pgt;The input voltage can be in the range of 4 - 37 V. The output voltage can be adjusted between 1.25 - 35 V using a spindle trimmer. However, the voltage at the input (IN) must always be at least 2.0 V higher than the output voltage (OUT).lt;/pgt; lt;pgt;The module has 4 solder terminals for the input and output voltage:lt;br /gt;IN+:lt;br /gt;IN-:    Input voltage pluslt;br /gt;Input voltage minus/GNDlt;br /gt;OUT+:lt;br /gt;OUT-:    Output voltage pluslt;br /gt;Output voltage minus/GNDlt;/pgt; lt;pgt;The LM2596S DC/DC converter has a common ground (GND) at the input and output.
