A totally unique and true-to-nature model of the original side loader
The design of the FCM HAMMAR 160 S 1:14-2 side loader is a true-to-nature model of the original side loader.
We have had the pleasure of cooperating with Hammar Maskin AB on the development of this model, which is approved by Hammar Maskin AB.
Suitable for trucks, trailers and construction vehicles, and has specially modified dumpers on a scale of 1:14.
The FCM HAMMAR 160 S 1:14-2 sideloader is suitable for trucks, trailers and dumpers on a scale of 1:14.
The various plate parts of the construction kit are produced from MS63 brass so that the material itself is protected from corrosion while the plate items can either be glued, soldered or welded together.

The following special tools are included in the kit:
- 2 pcs. ø1 mm. drill, which is used as a control
- 2 pcs. ø4.8 mm. drill, which is used as a control
- 1 pcs. ø5 mm. drill, which is used as a control
- 1 pcs. M1.4 mm. hand-operated tap
- 1 pcs. ø5H7 hand reamer
- 1 pcs. 3.5x1 mm. flat file
Note: It may be necessary to reduce the thickness of the file by grinding it on a suitable bench grinder.
The following adhesive are recommended:
- Loctite No. 496 (Instant glue)
- Loctite No. EA3430 (Two-component glue)
- Loctite degreasing agent No. SF7063
- Loctite No. 222 (Weak screw lock)
As an alternative to glue, the parts can be soft soldered with tin.

- The construction kit contains hydraulic fittings and hoses from the valve blocks as far as/back to the side loaders
- The model is designed for a working pressure of 12 bar.
- The lifting capacity of each side loader is 2,700 g.
- The model can be glued or tin soldered.
Hydraulics
The hydraulics system shall be constructed with a suitable pump, return filter, valve blocks and, if applicable, load-holding valves. A principal hydraulics diagram is enclosed with the assembly instructions in the construction set.
Note that without the load-holding valves, the containers cannot be held in a given raised position.
